... the newest member of our household.
Meet Mackensie Claire; born 24th May 2007 at 7.55am.
I'm not biased, you understand, but I happen to think she is utterly gorgeous.
As time is of a premium right now (she's stirring from her sleep as we 'speak') I'm going to keep this short, however I wanted to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged me through the last nine months or so.
I've enjoyed sharing my pregnancy experiences with anyone and everyone who cared to listen, and really loved the feedback many of you have left in the comments section of each post. I've had many a good laugh reading your responses to my posts and have also appreciated the advice and support offered by all.
I wanted to say a special thankyou to two particularly important people who have been with me through all of my pregnancy ups and downs. To my dearest friends DuskDevi and Portsmouth ... thankyou. Your comments have meant the world to me.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge public thankyou to my wonderful husband who was absolutely fantastic throughout my labour. I couldn't have done it without him.
And to my two Bugs ... please stop poking your little sister. She is real, you know, and one day she might just poke you back!!

I can give you a totally unbiased opinion. She's beautiful. (I saw the Seinfield episode regarding this issue, so I'm qualified to make a statement like that ...
My main congratulations go to your husband ... I'm sure they get overlooked as to the contribution they make to childbirth.
Forget for a moment, if you will, their earlier momentary contribution. Having to put up with a pregnant woman for nine months? I'm going to buy a hat and take it off to every father.

Only you and me really know how much you have done for me at times through this pregnancy and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are a strong, beautiful woman and I feel honoured and pleased to have 'met' you.

(of course my opinion is unbiased too. All parents are unbiased, aren't they?)
... and your qualifications are obviously undeniable regarding the beauty of my child. No arguments here.
I'm going to pass your comments on to my husband (as soon as he wakes up from his nap with his new daughter), I'm sure he will heartily agree with that sentiment. I know how difficult it has been to put up with myself for the last nine months and can only imagine how much worse it was for him!

Little Mac is totally easy-going ... it's wonderful. She sleeps well, feeds well and loves a big cuddle. A beautiful little girl.
There are already many gorgeous memories and she's only a couple of weeks old ... with many more to come.

Don't worry ... I'm not in a position to complain if people take a while to stop by ... my time management skills are terrible at the moment and I don't seem to have time to do anything except feed and change the nappy on a tiny little person. Unfortunately, Orble has taken a back seat for a while for me too.

A job very well done, even if I do say so myself!! Mac has slotted into our family life very nicely indeed.
As to the re-addition of alcohol into my diet ... I am breastfeeding but isn't that what breast pumps were invented for? Express milk during the day, drink wine at night.
The perfect solution.
I'll tell you what, that first glass of dry white and soda tasted bloody good.
